Great cinnamon rolls and donuts. The drive up service is a little weird but it works.
Carl's is really better than it looks! Apple fritters are great, Bavarian chocolate creams should be outlawed. Their pics do them no justice. Try it you'll like it or maybe it could become a bad habit! Carl's is one of those places that remind you of old fashioned goodness!
Best Danish I've ever had!! I ordered these for my daughter's wedding day, the girls ate them while getting ready. Carla made smaller version of their regular Danish so the girls didn't mess up their make up!! They were perfect. We have been going her all my life and the food is as great, you can always count on that!
Not many bakeries still around like Carl's! Highly recommend but I discovered calling ahead is helpful as they are still curbside only.
Ordered a large coffee cake. It was fresh and delicious. We truly enjoyed it. I'm not sure why they are still doing curbside because it is not organized it the product was so good that it doesn't really matter.

Looking for homemade cakes, and donuts? Carl's is my new go to place in the Peoria area. I have driven by this place for a while and have seen the chicken out front but I did not know it was also a bakery. For you early risers, they open at 5:30 am. I walked I at 5:45 and there was a line of people already waiting for donuts. The person behind the counter said it will be a few minutes my helper is running late this morning. There was a gentleman in the back making donuts, maybe this was Carl. The donuts are amazing, and they offer assorted types as part of the $12.00 a dozen price. My recommendation is if you want you choice of donuts get there early or they might run out.
